Starting with macOS 26, Apple Intelligence is used to analyze invoices. Make sure that Apple Intelligence is enabled in the settings under “Apple Intelligence & Siri.” All processing takes place entirely on your device — no data is transmitted to third parties.
If Apple Intelligence is not available, regular expressions are used for invoice analysis instead. However, this only works for invoices in German and extracts fewer details than the Apple Intelligence version.
